Know What You Are Fighting For

I want to be someone who knows what she is fighting for, and so she keeps fighting.

I want to keep remembering who holds the key to my heart [Jesus Christ].

I want to keep progressing.

Even if it is at a snail set pace.

… Yet, I keep running.
I keep enduring.

I keep fighting through the roughness of the day and resting when I want desperately want to protest – because what I am fighting for is beyond worth it.

I want to keep running and keep fighting, because Jesus Christ is the glue holding me together – even when the devil wants to tear me up using my circumstances.

I just want to see Jesus shine on the hard days. I just want to see the days where I am roughed up physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually turn into something really good.

A friend gets encouraged.

A stranger hears my words and sees my testimony of how God IS on the move.

A fellow overcomer finally opens her Bible to see how God can thwart the plans of the enemy and debilitating circumstances and use it all for His ultimate good…

Even if our circumstances weren’t His first method of teaching us. Even if it is the result of the fall of Adam and Eve, our own sin, and generational curses.

I just want to see Jesus and taste the victory that only He can give.

And, this is well worth fighting for.

Some Scripture to encourage us for our journey –
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him (James 1:12).”

“Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying (Romans 12:12).”
Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize (1 Corinthians 9:24‭-‬25).”

I too Stacey am trying to run the good race, not always succeeding, but I keep trying. Those dark days that creep up on us can through one for a loop sometimes, and I get a pity party going wondering why God will not deliver me from this valley. I realize that I am not doing my part to change my circumstances, God can not do His work if I am not letting Him. I read your post and the bible verses you add and I see clearly what I’m doing wrong. As well…my spirit is being fed. For as my body needs to be fed so goes the same with my spirit.
Thank you for your wonderful blogs, they are up lifting, and I know at time it is not easy on you. Your hard work is very appreciated.
