MMS – Hope

MMSFor the month of October, I am joining many bloggers in a challenge to write every single day for 31 days. I learned about this challenge through another challenge I participate in most weeks. The “Five Minute Friday” challenge is going to expand to last the whole month! Each entry, will be five minutes unedited of writing on a particular theme – found on Kate’s blog.Today’s theme is “hope.”

Hope.

It’s a word of few letters, but of great significance. Those four letters strung together, can mean so much.

As I sat in Bible study, wondering what I was doing there, I was reminding of these four letters strung together on my blue bracelet designed to raise awareness for Dysautonomia.

We must consider where we find our source of hope. The best kind of hope is rooted in Jesus.

When we root our hope in Jesus, it is an immovable-kind-of-hope. The most weathered days, won’t be able to uproot it.

Though we may face challenging days ahead, health or otherwise, hope is Jesus is forever.

Hope in Jesus is the kind-of-hope-we-need.

  • What kind of hope are you clinging to?
  • How are you focusing on His hope, today?

Let’s remember these words found in Ephesians 1.

I pray also that you will have greater understanding in your heart so you will know the hope to which he has called us and that you will know how rich and glorious are the blessings God has promised his holy people. 19 And you will know that God’s power is very great for us who believe. That power is the same as the great strength 20 God used to raise Christ from the dead and put him at his right side in the heavenly world. 21 God has put Christ over all rulers, authorities, powers, and kings, not only in this world but also in the next. (18-21, NCV).

The hope we have, is eternal.

It is eternal, because Christ is authority over everything!

Life’s challenges are no exception. He is in charge. While we may not know where we are being led, we can trust the One who is worthy of placing our hope.
