It’s Good to Be Queen (A “Blogging-For-Books” Review)

51-CHnmPpzLIt’s Good to Be Queen is the latest book by Liz Curtis Higgs. She takes us on a journey, as we follow Queen of Sheba on her path to discovering Solomon’s character, the truth about wisdom, and even discovering Yahweh – the One true God. We get to go along, for the ride, to discover the treasures that she discovered first.

The world has their own perspective regarding Queen of Sheba, but this study offers us the chance to get the biblical perspective. Honestly, I had no idea who Queen of Sheba was… until I came into this study. This study, for me, was pretty life-changing. It was a way for God to reveal to me old truths and new, that I need to invite into my life.

Humility and boldness are two of those truths. While humility is something we are often taught, boldness is something we can somehow miss in the shuffle of life. But, God wants us to be bold. He wants to boldly follow Him, wherever He instructs us to go. Queen of Sheba was bold, and it changed everything for her (in the best way).

New to Her Studies? Me too!

If you haven’t ever had the chance, or found the time, to dig into one of Higgs’ studies, I invite you to join me. This is my first study by Liz, and I loved it. She is a fantastic Bible teacher. What I appreciate most about this study, is the rich depth of teaching. Through it, we learn: (1) what this Scripture means (2) what the experience was like (3) what we can glean from it. I really enjoyed her study, and look forward to hopefully reading more studies by this author. The author doesn’t just scratch the surface for the studies, but goes the extra mile (or two) to give greater insight than we would ever have if we studied it on our own.

Highly Recommend It’s Good to Be Queen!
