Discipleship Journal Reading Plan: Day 18

Matt 7:15-29; Acts 10:24-48; Psalm 18:1-24; Genesis 39-40

Matthew: It goes back spiritual evaluation—We need to examine ourselves! “You will know them by their fruit.” What do our actions say? Are we allowing the Spirit to lead? What do our fruit say about our walk with Jesus Christ? Are we following the Lord’s commandments? What do we need to repent of? Bring it before Him NOW. Do not wait!

Memorable Scriptures: Matthew 7:21, 23-24

Acts: Many Gentiles came to know Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit was poured out onto them, and the Good News of Jesus was shared! This man, Cornelius, gathered his close friends and family to hear the Gospel of Christ. They were all waiting—to hear the Gospel. Do we have anyone waiting? Who do we need to witness to? Pray for?
Memorable Scriptures:
Acts 10:24, 33-34,
Judge of All: Acts 10:42
The Good News of Jesus: Acts 10:35-36, 43

Psalm: God hears my cry… He doesn’t close His ears, but He reaches out. His love is greater than anything we could ever experience here on Earth. His love is extravagant. He is our refuge, our strength, our hiding place, our support—He is everything! He is our protector!
Song: “His Kind of Love” by Group 1 Crew

Genesis: Joseph—is successful, because he stayed committed to following God. Joseph followed God no matter what the cost! While he stayed focused on being obedient to God and giving his best, others sought to destroy him and to lead him off the path of being obedient to God. He was tempted. Not only was he tempted, but a story was made up about him—which could have ruined his reputation. He was a man who followed God, but his boss’ wife called him a rapist when he was not one. He pursued integrity and godly living–and purity! He was lied about, thrown in prison, and forgotten. Hard place to be, but God would use it for His great glory! Joseph would be rewarded for his obedience!
Memorable Scriptures: Genesis 39:3, Genesis 40:15,
Food: Genesis 39:6;
Temptation: Genesis 39:7-12
In the Prison: Genesis 39:21-23
Dreams: Genesis 40:5-19
Joseph is Forgotten: Genesis 40:23
