"Good Morning Lord"

Good Morning Lord
By Sheila Walsh

GmorningThis book, Good Morning Lord, is a morning devotional book that will get you started on your day. It gives you enough boost to have something to think about, as you walk through your daily routine and challenges. It also prompts you to think about the way that you are living. The bible study consists of over 200 pages of morning devotional material, which will keep you going spiritually for over 100 days.

I thought the book was very well put together. It has a heading that is going to let us know what exactly we are learning, gives an example of how the peice of scripture fits into our everyday life and different things we may have encountered, and a prayer at the end.I absolutely loved the format of the book, and thought it was a great way to start my day. It wasn’t just sitting down and “I’ve got to do this.” It was really enjoyable, and didn’t let me settle for where I am spiritually and emotionally. It dug down deep, and made me realize my past and who God still is today! This devotional book is great for staying in the word every morning, but it is also good for using on the days when you just need something extra to fill you up!

The verse Psalm 1:1A; 2-3 come to mind, when thinking about this particular bible study that has captured my heart.

“Blessed is the one…whose delight is in the law of the LORD,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
